Up for grabs is this killer playing and sounding 1970 ES-330TD. Guitar plays incredibly well, very snappy and responsive with a well rounded warm woody low-end that does not take away from the upper registers. Very balanced and pleasant, versatile for all genres. The original dog ear P90’s are one of my favorite pick ups that easily classifies this 330 as a “Desert Island” guitar. Very comfortable neck with the slimmer 1 9/16″ nut width. Factory ordered with rare dot neck for that period.
It’s difficult to tell if the guitar has it’s original finish. We believe it is an older refin but someone polished the guitar to an almost like new sheen as you can still see remnants of the buffing compound if you look closely. If it is a refin it is as good if not better than factory. We’re pricing the guitar reflect that it is a refin. We have black lighted the guitar and it looks legit but the newness of the finish may still indicate to was refinished at some point. The previous owner swore it to be original. The guitar was also professionally re fretted with what we would call a vintage tall fret and correctly bound over the fret edges. It plays phenomenally well. The guitar has play wear please look at photos carefully for condition
The bridge is not original to the guitar but is a period correct Gibson, it was originally gold plated and has faded to almost a nickel color. The control knobs are also replacements. Pick guard is long gone. The guitar comes with a newer Gibson fitted hard case.
