This PRS CU 22 Soapbar has a beautiful quilted maple 10 Top, and is from the very first production run of this model. This guitar model is no longer standard production (made from 1998 – 2004), so here is a great opportunity to get this gorgeous Custom 22 Soapbar 10 Top in great condition. There is minuscule fret wear around the first through third frets. And a few small dings but nothing major. Aside from that, this instrument is in great shape for being 19 years old!
We never understood why PRS stopped making this model as it truly embodies every great aspect of great American guitar building. The pick up combination is phenomenal. The Seymour Duncan P-90’s give you that LP Jr punch but combined with the 5 way switch and maple board you can pull beautiful strat like tones or honky tele punch. By far one of the most tonally versatile guitars PRS has ever built.
